We have always heard that a hotel is going to sleep or attracted by its famous buffet breakfasts, of those that give you energy for the next five days.
But since last June 21, the NH Zurbano Hotel intends to establish a new and disruptive concept of restoration within its spaces . How? With the Green Tea Food and Drinks restaurant.
A HOTEL LIFE, WITHOUT LIVING IN THE HOTEL
"Historically, the only thing we did well at the restaurant level were the breakfasts, and we wanted to give that a spin, " said Hugo Rovira, general director of NH Hotel Group for Spain.
This is an objective that he has described as "obsession" for the NH: "to open the hotels to the people of the city and for the hotels to have life and interesting gastronomic proposals; don't offer just beds. "
Thus, in Green Tea Food and Drinks there is a varied gastronomic offer, with Southeast Asian specialties, which include its proposal of sushi and meat. Not forgetting another of its strengths: a mix of signature cocktails.

And all within the spaces of the NH Zurbano, replacing the old restaurant The Corner. Proof of wanting to open doors to non-guests is that it can be accessed both by the hotel and from outside.
It shows that you can combine quality and good service with affordable prices. "Not everything in life is Michelin Stars and prices for the clouds, " they explain.
CHARGED EXOTISM OF CHARACTER
The hotel takes several years of renovation, but they still wanted more. They ended up choosing Roger Chen for it, and expresses his success by stating: "I think it will give us the ultimate triumph for any hotel complement".
Thus, it ends by combining the urban, cosmopolitan and modern atmosphere of the hotel, with a more exotic and groundbreaking restaurant.
Roger Chen proposes to enjoy a novelty that “is increasingly fashionable, a fun concept, to eat and drink . ” He is the head of the Zen Group and has been dedicated to Asian haute cuisine for more than 35 years.

We access a place that keeps the essence of the Asian gardens (vegetal decoration, exotic, tropical, peacock feathers …) but with many touches of decoration and details that call us step by step.
The bar sports golden fish scales, and the black stone gives a very elegant touch to the central axis of the whole room; everything combines with a parquet floor and mirrors of simulated metal suns.
We take a seat, and we see that chance perfectly combined being able to choose between green velvet high chairs, sofas, low wooden chairs or staying at the bar. Our attention is drawn to the different and varied lamps that they have chosen for the whole place. But, in short, all natural colors and placed very geometric and carefully that makes everything in a set cozy and harmonious, despite the hodgepodge of details that surrounds us.

A SPACE WITH SUSHI BAR AND SUSHI WOMEN
In this new gastronomic space of the NH Zurbano of the Chamberí neighborhood we meet Annisa Maryam. It comes from Indonesia and is the sushi women in charge of preparing the different proposals for sushi, nigiri and sashimi in elaborations of Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Korean influence. Although they also prepare Mediterranean options.
But let's go to the important thing: mixing sushi with meat. The new fish and chips, say, in a renewed sushi and meat. A proposal that at first may collide, but that ends up more than convincing us. A select combination of La Finca meat and fish and seafood from Pescaderías Coruñesas.
We can also opt for the Poke bowl Green Tea (made with rice, vegetables, strawberries, mango and tuna and salmon marinated with soy sauce), Foie Nigiri, Butter and Truffle Fish or Tuna, Salmon or Corvina Sashimi.
But our eyes can't help asking for the Sushi & Sashimi Boat to share between two. The spring rolls do not stop surprising us either, with the thickness of the puff pastry just and perfect.
For only carnivores, dishes such as sirloin Mongolia, sirloin with foie and boletus or grilled steak stand out .

On the other hand, we found a special selection of Uramaki rolls . Although for them other specialties are Szechuan caramelized veal or steamed sea bass with ginger and shallot, black cod and miso Saikyo or the temperate lobster.
And, of course, to accompany or finish, a cocktail letter by Lea Valenzona. Special Sangria of the house, or for the most daring a Singapore Sling.

From Sunday to Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
The Green Tea Tasting menu costs € 22.50 per person, while the Gastronomic menu is priced at € 32.50. The third option is the menu of the day, from Monday to Friday for 12.50 euros.
