Spain illuminates its monuments green to celebrate Saint Patrick

The emerald color will dye some of the most emblematic monuments of the Planet to celebrate, as every March 17, St. Patrick's Day. With the Hashtag #OlaVerde, this Irish Tourism campaign also arrives in Spain with two full-color days.

On Thursday, March 16, from half past seven in the afternoon until early Friday, Madrid joins the lighting of the Cibeles fountain, the Puerta de Alcalá and the Palacio de Comunicaciones . In addition to, the Tower of Hercules in A Coruña, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Plaza de España in Adeje (Tenerife).

Other monuments will change their skin, on Friday, March 17 at the same time until dawn, the Etopia Building in Zaragoza, the Grand Casino in Santander, the Town Hall in Malaga, the Building Annex to the City Hall of Murcia, the source of Santa Eulalia of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, the Millennium Dome in Valladolid, the City Hall of Tortosa (Tarragona), the fountain of the roundabout of Don Juan de Austria in Seville, the chapel of San Patricio and the medieval tower of Pancar in Llanes (Asturias ), again in Tenerife, and, of course, in the Ciudad Condal in the Magic Fountain of Montjuic, the fountain of the Paseo de Gracia and the Twin Fountains of the Plaza de Cataluña .
